New Staff and Board Members

Over the past few months, we have been pleased to welcome several new staff to our teaching and residential teams. In addition, three new members have joined the Townshend board, bringing valuable expertise to help spearhead the school's growth.

Teaching Staff

Mr. Vinod Williams, from Brisbane, Australia

Mr. Williams will be teaching maths and ICT and brings over 25 years of experience, having previously taught in North Queensland, Zambia, Toowoomba, Warwick and Brisbane.

He enjoys football, cricket and basketball, which there should be plenty of opportunity for in the coming months.

Residential Staff

Mrs. Maaret Elfving, from Helsinki, Finland

In January we were delighted to welcome back Mrs. Maaret Elfving to the role of boy’s dormitory mother. As a former dorm parent with a background in community education, she brings valuable insight and experience to the role. Maaret is remembered fondly by many Townshend alumni, and has already made a wonderful impression on our current students in the short time she has been here.

Mr. Daniel Williams, from Australia & the Czech Republic

Daniel graduated from Townshend in 2016, and is currently in the 4th year of his civil engineering degree at the University of Glasgow. His studies have moved online, and we are therefore very happy to have him here with us.

Daniel's interests include football and gym; we are very thankful to him for keeping our boarders energised and motivated.

Mr. Nuradin Gutzwiller-Malakut, from Switzerland

Nuradin is another Townshend alumnus from 2016, and has been living in Switzerland since graduating. We are very happy to have him on the team, and are thankful for his calm and thoughtful demeanour.
