Townshend is a Cambridge International School
Grades 7, 8 and 9
Students in Grade 8 and 9 study a broad range of subjects from the fields of Science, Humanities, Arts, Languages and Physical education. In small and friendly multi-cultural classes students receive plenty of teacher time. They learn though discussion, practical activities, excursions, and experimentation; through creative and imaginative tasks; and group collaboration. At the same time they consolidate and refine basic skills in communication, computer use, and mathematics. It is a very supportive environment for students who are learning in English for the first time. The school has a strong English as a Second Language (ESL) programme. Teachers work closely with parents and Dorm Parents to ensure that students develop effective study skills.
